River City Kids

MISSION

River City Church exists to connect, equip and send people into the world to live the lives God calls them to. This not only includes our kids but views them as a valuable and integral part of the body of Christ. Therefore, they are worthy of genuine, authentic relationships and equipping. We submit to Scripture in the way we regard our kids. Jesus treated them as an essential part of the kingdom, and so do we. We want the kids to feel connected, loved and known when they enter ‘River City Kids’ by encouraging and comforting them. Ultimately as they grow, and in partnership with the home, we are dedicated to equipping them with age-appropriate Biblical truths and urging them to live lives worthy of God.

To help nurture a heart for corporate worship in our kids, we teach the value of participation in the church as foundational for all of life. We want to see kids grow in their love and participation in worship and the local church. Since the Scriptural model integrates children into all aspects of worship gatherings along with the people of God, we follow that example by prioritizing their presence, attendance and participation in service along with the body.
