River City Kids - Preschool

Our preschool room serves kids 3 through 5 years old. This room meets every week. The kids will start in the service and will be dismissed during the greeting time.

The primary focus of this room, continuing the environment of safety and care, is to build on the Biblical truths introduced while in the nursery. This is done through reading age-appropriate books, worshipping through song, praying together, memorizing Scripture and creating a sense of love for one another through play and social interactions.

CURRICULUM:

The focus of the curriculum is how the Bible is one complete story. Comprehension of this is foundational as the kids continue to learn more about the Bible and who God is. THE JESUS STORYBOOK BIBLE by Sally Lloyd Jones will be used as the primary resource. As we go through the year, the kids will be exposed to how the Bible can be divided into four major parts: Creation, Fall, Redemption and Restoration. This concept will guide the Scripture the kids will be memorizing.

MEMORY VERSE:

1st Quarter - Creation: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

2nd Quarter - Fall: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

3rd Quarter - Redemption: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

4th Quarter - Restoration: “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5
